Ads and sexuality

The free version is ad-supported, which is not a big deal, usually. They are text ads, but one of them that consistently was on the main page had to do with a "Find out if you are gay" quiz. Most teachers (and parents) are probably not interested in students exploring their sexuality in English class.

Once you upgrade to the monthly plan, you are charged $8.95 (US) to use the site. The only option available on the internet is "terminate your account and delete all your weblogs and this Portal irrevocably." An option for canceling payment during the summer when there is no school would be nice. A downgrade option would also be nice where you can go back to the free version (when the teacher's money runs out)

Limit on number of students

It is my understanding that the paid monthly plan only allows up to 100 users.
